
The challenge
We began working with our Italian partner Mind-Mercatis on a project for their client, a manufacturing company. Our Boomi specialists and Project Manager assisted in the integration of all systems necessary for business continuity. The project has been underway since last March with a positive conclusion with the new year, resulting in the implementation of key systems.

Overview
This project focused on migrating old integration solutions to Boomi to improve efficiency, monitoring and reliability. It involved connecting key business systems, with over 60 integration processes between different systems, including SAP, Salesforce, Azure Service Bus, databases, custom APIs, Amazon S3, and SFTP. The integrations supported essential processes such as customer management, lead tracking, inventory updates, orders, and invoicing.
Project Phases
The project was divided into four main stages:
- Analysis
Mind-Mercatis gathered client requirements, documented system interactions, and mapped data flows to ensure smooth integration. Peakforce supported all the activities.
- Development
The team built and tested integrations in Boomi, ensuring accurate data synchronization and system compatibility.
- Testing
We conducted unit tests, system tests, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate functionality and ensure business needs were met.
- Deployment & Hypercare
After a successful UAT, we deployed the solution and provided prompt support to resolve any issues and optimize performance.
Team Structure
On our side, the project team consisted of:
- 1 Lead Boomi Developer – Managed technical execution, creating integrations and communication with the client and the architect.
- 2 Boomi Developers – Built and tested integrations.
- 1 Project Manager – Oversaw timelines and coordination, bringing fluency in Italian to facilitate communication with the client.
The team worked collaboratively, maintaining regular check-ins to track progress, address challenges, and ensure a smooth workflow.
On Mind-Mercatis side, the project team consisted of:
- 1 Client Manager – Focused on building strong client relationships and ensuring satisfaction
- 1 Principal Consultant/Project Manager – Responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the project
- 1 Integration Architect – Designed the technical blueprint for each interface
- 2 Assistant Project Managers – Providing direct assistance to Project Managers
The Results
To support our partner, we strengthened their team with our experts, including Boomi specialists and an Italian-speaking Project Manager. The project's success was measured by the percentage of integrated processes, prioritized into essential, important, and optional categories. We successfully implemented the vast majority of critical integrations and completed at least half of the important ones, ensuring key project objectives were met.
